AEV’s DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Suspension System was designed to appeal to Jeep JK Wrangler owners who want the added highway and trail performance of AEV’s taller 3.5 and 4.5-inch DualSport Systems, but with a reduced lift height.
As with AEV’s 3.5 and 4.5-inch systems, painstaking attention was paid to tuning and geometry in the new system. Not content to simply borrow the same spring rates and shock valving of the taller systems, AEV set out to specially tune coils and shocks that are unique to the needs of the new, lower system. The result is new frequency-tuned, triple-rate coils at all four corners and custom-tuned Bilstein shocks matched to the coils. Additionally, AEV evaluated the new system for cornering and braking and determined that a new, geometry-corrected rear Track-Arm Tower would be needed to help create the kind of handling AEV suspension systems are expected to have.
The new system is rounded out with everything else needed to complete the package. This includes a custom rear track-arm, front stabilizer end link relocation brackets, bump-stop extensions and brake line relocation brackets. Combined with the springs and shocks, these components allow AEV’s DualSport 2.5-Inch XT Suspension System to deliver classic AEV on and off-highway performance, exceptional reliability and a lower, more user-friendly lift height.

I LOVE the improvement in both ground clearance and handling I've noticed since having the 2.5" DS XT suspension system installed on my 2013 Rubicon Unlimited. We drove to California on a road trip this summer (from Toronto) and while there had Rock Tech Offroad install the 2.5" XT kit before taking a short jaunt with the Rubi ON the Rubi :) [It was 'just us' so we only did about 10KM in from Tahoe - my wife had never been off-road and I didn't want to scare her too much :)]. The handling after installing the kit (along with rear geometry correction bracket) was SOOO much better than stock! Cornering in the mountains on the way back was much less of a white knuckle experience.
Ordering some stickers to proudly support your product. Would highly recommend that Chrysler/Jeep install this as STOCK on a Rubicon!! (as well as to anyone else looking for a bit more clearance and a lot more control and less body roll in corners).
I put this lift on my MW3 jeep, and I would say it was one of the easiest lifts to install very quick 2hrs and was done. after getting it done and taking out and testing it out it was the best thing I added to my MW3 jeep. it is awesome, the ride on the highway is so much better.
so after shopping around, reading reviews and asking a million questions i went with this lift kit....now out of all the kits i priced out this kits was one of the more expensive ones.. but now i know why, this is one heavy duty kit.. from the shocks right down to the hardware.. and wow does it ever handle well on and off the road this 2.5 is worth a million WOW;s you will love it and you wont regret the extra pennies..
I've been driving 4x4 vehicles since 20yrs and finally got a 2012 JK 2.8 diesel sahara after having driven Rice cookers. Great jeep vehicle and great engine but needed a lift in my view. I had a local shop (Indian Cars) install a 2.5 xt lift.
Its a great kit, makes the JK incredibly nimble and precise with 33" Cooper ST Maxx's and fits like a charm (was in the shop helping out)
as a note I'd add: get the procal with it: to align the steering column and get the tpms to shut down and the speedo correct.
I had only heard good things about AEV so I decided to give their lift a try. The instructions are the most detailed instructions I have ever read making it easy to install. Total install time was about 6.5 to 7 hrs. This is a kit that you can install right in your driveway. Great first lift for beginner offroaders.
The price was on the higher side, but don't let that scare you away. The products are quality! I could feel the strength of the steel by just holding it. This company builds a quality product! I do wish It had the option to come with swaybar disconnects, but that wasn't a huge deal. Another add on that I would have liked to have would be the option for a front track bar as well.
I love the way my jeep sits now. The ride quality is excellent with the Bilstein Shocks. Jeep handles better than stock. This kit clears 35" tires with factory fenders easily! I have not gone on any hardcore trails yet just old class 6 roads. Can't wait to really put this kit to the test! Great product! keep up the good work!
