The JL Pintler wheel combines timeless styling with the innovative features and off-road strength that you’ve come to expect from AEV. However, this is not just another one-size-fits-all aftermarket Jeep wheel.
Designed specifically for the newest Wrangler
AEV designed the Pintler wheel specifically for the newest Wrangler because despite sharing the same DNA as the Jeep JK Wrangler, many aspects of the latest generation Wrangler are quite different, so simply re-purposing a Jeep JK wheel was not the best solution. The JL Pintler’s unique offset of +25mm, works perfectly with the various OE fender flare variants and provides the optimal balance of tire clearance, scrub radius and handling. Additionally, this wheel features a larger center cap bore (62.77mm) for compatibility with the JL Wrangler’s OE backup camera and resized pockets for the larger factory lug nuts.
Available in either an Onyx or paintable Matte Black finish.

Center Caps: This wheel has a center cap OD of 62.7mm, which is larger than the previously used 55.5mm OD center caps.
Wheel Weight Clearance: Due to the design of the wheel barrel/drop well on the Pintler combined with our high offset and the JL’s large brakes, clearance for stick-on weights inside the wheel is VERY tight. Standard thin .25oz stick-on weights clear the brake package. Larger .5oz and 1oz weights do not.
Powder Coating Warning: As a general safety precaution, AEV does not recommend powder coating aluminum wheels. The heat range and duration of the powder coating process may overlap the heat treating and aging of cast or forged aluminum wheels. For this reason, powder coated wheels will not be covered under AEV’s lifetime structural warranty. All repairs and/or color changes should utilize automotive type liquid paint.

- What makes this wheel different than the JK Pintler Wheel?
The JL Pintler wheel is actually quite a bit different. This wheel has a JL-specific offset of +25mm, increased center cap bore to ensure compatibility with the OE backup camera and additional room for the larger OE lug nuts. Details like these are often overlooked with one-size-fits-all aftermarket wheels.

- Does AEV test their wheels?
Yes, all of AEV's wheels are tested under SAE J2530 requirements. This consists of three tests in a controlled environment to test for radial fatigue, cornering load and curb impact. These tests are designed to expose any material weakness or design flaws.
- AEV products are normally made in the United States, so why is the Pintler made overseas?
At AEV, we remain committed to American manufacturing, and we would much rather have our wheels manufactured in the US. But right now, you can’t get wheels made in the USA at aftermarket volumes. Still to this day, the only cast wheel plants left in the US are for high volume OE wheel programs. So unfortunately, buying from China is a necessary evil of being in the aftermarket cast wheel business. We have made the effort to buy from a high quality Chinese plant. Our plant also produces OE wheels for Volkswagen, Audi, BMW and Harley Davidson, among others. Our supplier has American employees on the ground in China who oversee our programs for us, and we have been over to China to inspect and visit the plant in person. When lower volume wheel manufacturing becomes feasible again in the US, we will be first in line.
