The AEV Rear Bumper for 2019+ Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 is designed to look good, work hard and withstand all the rigors of off-road use. This is the same OEM AEV Rear Bumper that is found on 2023+ Silverado ZR2 Bison and Sierra AT4X AEV Edition trucks, so you can be assured it meets all GM crash, safety, and airbag functionality standards.
Manufactured using 3mm stamped steel, the AEV Rear Bumper is extremely strong, but weighs only 120 lbs. The AEV Rear Bumper features integrated ductile tow hooks, rated to meet GM requirements to allow for easy rigging of ¾” anchor shackles.
For added visibility when backing up in the dark, the AEV Rear Bumper has provisions for two 3” square LED reverse lights to be mounted cleanly behind the bumper (mounting kit sold separately here).
The AEV Rear Bumper is E-coated and powder coated in textured black. This bumper ships from AEV pre-assembled, making installation very straight forward. This bumper WILL NOT fit Silverado/Sierra HD trucks.
Please Note: This rear bumper is not compatible with trucks equipped with factory thru exhaust systems. Some form of downturn exhaust setup is required.

- Will this bumper fit my Silverado/Sierra HD truck?
No. While the bumper may appear similar, the Silverado HD and Sierra HD require a different bumper.
- What makes the AEV bumper that much better than other aftermarket rear bumpers?
Simply put, this isn’t an aftermarket rear bumper. This is an off-road bumper, designed for an OEM application (Silverado ZR2 Bison and Sierra AT4X AEV Edition) so everything about the bumper—the design, the engineering, the materials, the manufacturing, the coatings and the testing where all done to meet GM requirements. There is no other bumper on the market that can make these claims.
- I don’t see any openings in the bumper, so how do I add lights?
The AEV Rear Bumper has two plastic panels that are removed for a pair of 3” square LED auxiliary lights to be mounted securely behind the rear bumper. This requires AEV’s Auxiliary Light Mounting Kit and a pair of 3” square LED lights, both sold separately.
- Are the recovery points the real deal or just for show?
These are the real deal! We make sure all our recovery points are chassis mounted and meet or exceed the OEM load specifications.
- What type of coating does AEV use?
The rear bumpers are e-coated and powder coated in textured black, and the base material is galvanized for superior corrosion protection. The AEV Rear Bumper passes all GM corrosion requirements.
- Where is the AEV Rear Bumper manufactured?
The AEV Rear Bumper is made in Canada, using domestically manufactured stampings.
