Unfortunately the factory setup just doesn’t provide enough clearance for 37″ tires. Many owners quickly find that upsizing from the stock 35″ tires leads to rubbing, limited wheel movement, and even potential damage, especially when the trail gets tough.

- Will this work on vehicles without the AEV front bumper?
No. The front closeouts are specific to the AEV bumper. Non-ZR2 Bison bumpers do not provide enough clearance for this size of tire.
- Will this work with factory wheels?
37x12.5 tires will work with factory wheels and this clearance kit. However 37x13.5 tires will require lower offset wheels, such as the AEV Salta XD, for backside clearance while turning. This is due to frame clearance not the closeout kit.
- What tire size is required?
AEV recommends a 37x12.5 tire on OEM Bison/AT4x AEV edition wheels or 37x13.5 tire on AEV Salta XD (28401136/28401137) aftermarket wheels. Packaging is very tight and going taller or wider will likely cause tire rubbing.
- Does this kit require permanent modification of my vehicle?
This kit does require minor trimming of the front body mount. However, this modification is hidden by the AEV closeouts and would also be hidden by the factory components if the vehicle were ever returned to stock.
- Why doesn't this kit come with lower fender flare extensions like the GMC?
The Chevy Silverado ZR2 Bison has larger front fender openings than the GMC Sierra AT4X AEV Edition, which allows 37" tires to clear the OEM fenders and flare extensions without modification. Only the front bumper closeout area requires modification on Chevy Bison.
