The 5.7L HEMI TJ debuted at SEMA 2003. It was painted Imola Orange, an Acura NSX color and looked like it was on fire under the lights in the Chrysler booth. The paint really showcased a new product for AEV, the Heat Reduction Hood. This car was the start of something new at AEV. Prior to this vehicle, AEV did very little engine work - after this car, AEV went on to install approximately 200 HEMIs in TJ Wranglers.

AEV 570 HEMI Wrangler TJ - Engine Compartment
This was a fun car. We actually had plenty of time to work on it...which just doesn't happen in the world of SEMA cars.
The engine conversion went smoothly, the paint was flawless, the leather Recaro seats were absolutely stunning. Besttop was nice enough to run the same material that is used on the Viper down their assembly line to create the nicest Jeep Soft top I have ever seen...it even had a headliner.
I always got a kick out of the date stamp in the plastic windows...Oct 23. The SEMA show was Oct 31st. -dh
Missoula Skatepark Association
In 2006 we partnered with the Missoula Skatepark Association, a local non-profit in Missoula, MT, that was in the process of raising funds to build a free public skatepark.
Over the course of about 1 year, they sold enough tickets (at $100 apiece) to buy this 570 HEMI TJ from AEV and still net over $90,000 towards their project.
The project is now complete and the skatepark opened with a visit from legendary skater Tony Hawk and a crowd of over 10,000 people.
