This is one of the most unique Wranglers out there - not the flashiest, but definitely one of the most unique. It started out as an old right-hand-drive Wrangler which was stretched to Unlimited proportions. From there the front suspension was changed over to a Range Rover suspension; a 2.8L diesel from a 2005 KJ LIberty was installed; Rubicon Axles were converted to RHD; the AEV Highline kit was added to an OME 2.5" Suspension; and 37" tires were added.
The interior is all from a newer RHD model (2005). This is AEV's founder's personal vehicle and is used for long trips into the backcountry. Fuel mileage is excellent with it hovering around the 19.5-20.5 MPG mark with the top off at 75 MPH. Off road, the diesel tends to use about half as much fuel as the 4.0 or 5.7 vehicles normally traveling with it. Power is somewhere in between the 4.0 and 5.7.

AEV TJ Diesel Concept - Under the hood
Hey this is my own car...of course I think its cool! This was a fun project, too bad the motor is so expensive and too complicated for a diesel.
I love driving this machine. The RHD is fun, our Mastiff loves to sit in the passenger seat which is always good for a few laughs at stop lights...he's an ugly dude! -dh
