Details
On the trail, nothing is worse than a disabled vehicle that doesn’t run. One of the fastest ways that can happen is to puncture your oil pan on a rock and after you drag the vehicle off the trail, the dealer may charge as much as $600 to replace the pan! The better option is to prevent the ruined outing and expensive repair in the first place. Our pan-hugging, engine-mounted skid is made from stout 3/16" steel and prevents both the dreaded puncture and crushing that can occur on rocks and other trail obstacles. It also provides better clearance to exhaust and other chassis items than frame-mounted designs and allows easy access for oil changes. This vital skid will fit any Jeep model and year that came with a 4.0L engine and original manual or automatic transmissions. Primarily from 1987-2006.
