American Expedition Vehicles is proud to announce the release of its snorkel intake system for the Jeep JK Wrangler. Constructed from nearly indestructible cross-linked polyethylene, the snorkel is offered with its own highly effective cyclonic pre-filter that literally separates dust from air, dramatically extending the service life of the engine’s factory filter. The complete package includes detailed instructions along with hardware and can be installed with only minor modifications to the stock JK hood. Practical upgrades include AEV’s stylish steel Heat Reduction Hood, which is pre-cut for the snorkel, just like the original Jeep M38A1 hood.

Easter Jeep Safari 2008 was a huge success for AEV. After weeks of preparation and anticipation, we were sorry to see it pass so quickly.

The AEV Jack Base for 2007-08 Wrangler provides 3-1/2 inches of added lift height to the stock "scissors" jack - allowing tires of up to 37" or more to be changed with ease and stability. The large 7.5" x 10.5" base gives the jack better stability in off-road and soft soil conditions. When AEV decided to open a new conversion facility in Detroit, there was an obvious problem, who do you hire to make sure the quality of the vehicles stays on top? The answer was simple, get the guy who made sure the vehicles were engineered and built correctly at Jeep itself.

A graduate of GMI with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dave was a lifelong Jeep enthusiast when he attended the first Camp Jeep event in 1995 as a paying customer and asked event organizers: “When are you going to hire some cool engineers?” So they did. Dave spent the next 11 years working for Chrysler in Jeep Vehicle Development. In 2000 Dave helped to develop the first prototype for a bigger, badder Jeep, springing it on his bosses during a management ride on California’s famed Rubicon Trail. In 2003 the vehicle became Jeep legend when the first Wrangler Rubicon rolled off the line. Dave joined AEV in 2007. Among his seven Jeeps are an original AEV long wheelbase TJ, and his HEMI-fied Blue Brute with Dynatrac Pro Rock 60 axles, Nth Degree Long Arm suspension, and 39″ BFG Krawlers.

After nearly a year and a half of development and prototyping, the AEV EGR Module (Electronic Geometry Recalibration) is finally ready! Units will begin shipping Nov. 13th and will be available through all Superlift dealers. For customers who already have the suspension installed, units will be available through AEV’s online store where orders will also begin on November 13th, 2007.
