AEV Customer Poll

December 27, 2007 -

Here at AEV we thought we’d start polling our faithful news and newsletter subscribers to see what you think about certain topics from time to time. This is pure speculation and just for fun.

If Jeep were to go out of business, which new vehicles should AEV build parts for?

  1. Jeep is stronger than ever so they are still on the rise. However, I’d like to see AEV expand the turn-key approach to the Nissan Xterra. While not quite as capable as the Rubicon, the Xterra is extremely competent off-road, rock solid, highly popular with a loyal following, has a great engine already, and begs for a turn-key approach from a company like AEV.

  2. Toyota FJ Cruiser

  3. Wow! The only other vehicles that are even in the same league as Jeep would be Land Rover or Toyota. The really cool Nissan stuff is not available in the U.S. So if I owned AEV and I had to make this difficult decision, I would look at offering part upgrades and accessories for both Land Rover and Toyota. They both have a very loyal following and a large percentage of owners would buy and add parts if they were available and AEV quality. But for right now, a nice DIESEL conversion would be nice for my 07 JEEP UNLIMITED SAHARA. 30 mpg’s with 35’s. Talk about DREAM MACHINE.

    Keep up the Great Work,
    CWW

You should try and get a Gov. Contract on a Spook Vehicle Concept for the real world for the guys in the field. That would be cool!

  4. I think that the Toyota FJ (Fake Jeep) would be the most off-road capable next to the Jeep. I am not to crazy about the FJ but, with the awesome engine swaps you do with the Hemi in the Wrangler, how cool would a Toyota FJ be with the 5.7 out of a Tundra . Lift it and do the engine swap I would probably want one (only if there wasn’t a Jeep anymore). I like the old Land Rovers but it seems that the new ones are to focused on luxury instead of the off-road capabilities that they use to have, especially the Defender.
But first you need to figure out how to fit the Commander on a 35X12.50.
