AEV Procal, a 10 month retrospective by Jordan Harriton… Okay, so maybe this news item isn’t that elaborate but there has been some interesting AEV Procal news lately and it’s time to share. I apologize for it being a long post, we’ll try better to update as news comes in.

For anyone new to the AEV Procal, the main feature is speedometer correction for all Jeep Wrangler JK vehicles including 2010 models. Our speedometer correction method improves shift points, displayed mileage, and ESP performance. With secondary features like TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring) and DRL (Day Time Running Light) alterations the module quickly pays for itself (Retail at only $129). Ten months after launch, there are now other programmers on the market but the Procal is still the only one offer a unique feature set, provide an effective interface that can quickly be done in seconds, and at less than half the cost of similar products.

We recently returned from SEMA 2009 and it turns out the procal won an award. Did you know the Procal is completely Dealer/Warranty safe? AEV announces the availability of the new 5.7 VVT Chrysler HEMI Conversions for 2007+ Jeep Wranglers! This is the first major revision of Chrysler’s HEMI engine since the MDS system was introduced. What’s the big deal? A variable timed cam shaft that can optimize itself for high and low end torque; more power with no compromises. 6.1L power in a 5.7L package, standard fuel, factory PCM calibrations, no gimmicks, all for less money then the current 5.7L build price. In another first, we are updating the AEV JK HEMI Builder’s Kit so that the automatic versions now more effectively utilize the MDS system to switch between 4 and 8 cylinder mode.
